Only Lunatics Travel By Moon

At this full moon, so close to the March Equinox, it would be easier to be distracted by trivial invented festivals such as Easter, rather than the original, deeper and more significant truths that we will start to introduce many to now as accredited camel train navigators, but not yet certified lunatics.

Larry of Arabia

When Peter O’Toole portrayed Lawrence of Arabia first on the big screen in 1962, and we were inspired to go likewise into glorious battle as camel troopers, we were sitting in air conditioned comfort, totally forgetting about Noel Coward’s warning…

Mad DogsHowever, Mad Dogs are ineligible for membership to the Ancient Order of Camel Train Navigators, because we know when it is horribly hot we travel at night By The Light Of The Silvery Moon!

These Aren’t The Droids You’re Looking For…

The ability to navigate by the moon is a genuine, and probably the original dark art, which in its power invokes awe and fear in the ignorant. When Lawrence of Arabia was rewritten under the influence of mad scientists (are there any sane scientists?) into Star Wars, “The Dark Side of The Force” was the name for the bad guys. In life we all play the game ‘White Must Win’

To be fair, camel train navigators have mostly been male in the past, partly because most females with celestial moon knowledge sidetracked themselves into Wicca witchery, etc. So the ‘guy’ part is fair but they are not the baddies.

So why is the equinox so important to a camel train navigator? By the very meaning of the word, day and night must be equal in length. It is common knowledge amongst Sun navigators that on the equinox, the sun at its highest point is directly related to the latitude of the location.

The ‘Dark Secret’ of a moon navigator is that at the equinox, the path of the moon is about the same as the sun, plus or minus 5 degrees. The path of the sun through the sky. To start on the path of learning moon navigation and transitioning from common aspirant lunatic to aspirant camel train navigator, one needs to go outside and see from one’s location, that around the equinox

  • the sun and moon rise from from about the same point on the eastern horizon, though about 12 hours apart.
  • the sun and moon follow about the same paths in the sky, and
  • the sun and moon set at about the same point somewhere on the western horizon.

After the March equinox after every 4 days or so,

  • the arc of the sun moves about 1 degree North (or about 111 km at mid latitudes on a flat map) heading towards the Tropic of Cancer at the June Solstice (20th in 2016)
  • the arc of the moon moves about 1 degree South (again about 111 km at mid latitudes) heading toward the Tropic of Capricorn at the June Solstice.

The Evil Forces of Light

Darkness and LightThe evil forces of light pollution make it harder to navigate by the stars anywhere with night time flood or street lighting adjacent. Some might wonder, was street lighting an evil conspiracy to promote GPS devices, which any sane Flat Earther recognizes as fraudulent devices based on the Round Earth conspiracy deception of a gullible public. For either world view, moon navigation still works, and despite most streetlight’s attempt to drown the light of the silvery moon with flooding, the moon can still be seen in most cities.

Lunacy versus Astrology

As we do not know the truth about birth date traits, genuine scientists would investigate this matter further. We do know that if you were born into times of famine, plague or war, it was pretty well a given that you had a bad future, whatever the month or day of birth. Because we also understand now the immense distances from the sun to even the closest star, fantasizing about the invisible forces from a very distant star overcoming the invisible forces from our Sun is very silly.

In contrast, just one of the known invisible forces from the Moon (er, called Gravity…), has about 2.5 times stronger effect on the Earth than the sun, despite the fact that the moon is many times smaller. This is because of its proximity to Earth, and it works night and day. We know from littoral measurements that the moon can literally move oceans far better than the sun.

Gravity is Such a Drag!
Gravity is Such a Drag!

One can almost see astrologers jumping onto gravity waves, combining it with Chaos Theory’s assertions about the flapping of a butterfly’s wings in China creating hurricanes in the US.

The moon for us earth dwellers is about 2.5 times more powerful that the Sun… Lunacy Rules!

Lunacy and Birth Date Traits

Before the age of gas or electric lighting, Christian churches had to organize events at night close to a full moon so people could travel. Thus Easter Sunday came to be on the first Sunday after the  first full moon after the March Equinox. It was merely a convenience that the Gospels all refer to the events of the Crucifixion as taking place around the time of the Jewish Passover festival (in the Hebrew month of Nisan, in which the spring equinox occurs in the northern hemisphere).

Jewish CalendarThe Hebrew calendar, as well as the Gregorian and Julian calendars, are Looney Solar Calendars. That is, they principally follow the Sun, but also indicate Moon phases. Because these calendars mainly follow the Sun, and because the moon phases, solstices and equinoxes vary each year, there is no means of accurately correlating birth date traits with moon phases.

To attempt this, perhaps you could organize say a billion earthlings to follow a totally moon based calendar, and even better for most of them to live right on the equator to cancel or reduce seasonal effects (i.e. a totally tropical or solar year). Then we could perhaps search for traits or effects correlated with the day of the moon phase under which they were born.

One could apply the blunt test and simply look at people’s death dates and see if any association existed between them and the day of the moon cycle in which they were born. If such records existed, they’d probably be concealed in something like Arabic. Perhaps there might even be moon and sun records of birth and deaths written in Chinese. If so, Mao Tse Tung would have had China change to a Western calendar before anyone outside the country could recognize the significance of the ancient records and knowledge hidden inside.

Now we all know that we measure the length of a year in ‘sidereal’ terms – in other words, we measure the time taken for the Earth to revolve around the Sun and get back to the same position relative to ‘fixed’ stars, not from solstice to solstice, or equinox to equinox.

Clearly, the work of Lepus lunaticus Martii (You Scwewy Wabbit!)

Until the next full moon (22nd April 2016)…
